Recycled polyethylene What is it?
From the mid-twentieth century to the present day, polyethylene has been a material that has been used in many facets of human activity, highlighting construction and furniture. Its attractiveness rested fundamentally in that it was an easy material to transform so little by little it was replacing metals, wood or ceramics for some applications. But we must not forget its main function is to contribute a small grain of sand in protecting the environment.
It is a material that allows environmental protection, which is economical and last but not least allows elegant and functional finishes. It is also sterile, hygienic, easy to clean, anti graffiti and anti vandalism.
In the furniture sector, thanks to its durability and behavior before bending processes, it is especially valuable to manufacture hinges, toys, food containers, in tubes, plastic cups, bags, syringes, corkscrews, even for carpets, curtains or upholstery. The applications are getting bigger and more diverse.
This material is also widely used for those same qualities in construction. For example, materials for paving, roads, for covering cables, pipes for gas, water, etc. are usually manufactured in polyethylene. Although its use of insulation and in modular construction of increasingly popular prefabricated plastic houses stands out.
