Cellular Polypropylene
Product Information
Cellular polypropylene (PP) is a polymer formed from propylene monomer, mechanically resistant and resistant to many chemical solvents, bases and acids. Polypropylene is a type of plastic that can be moulded with heat, i.e. it is a thermoplastic. It has similar properties to polyethylene (PE), but with a high softening point.
High resistance to chemicals: alkalis and acids. High mechanical properties. High temperature resistance. Optimum cost/quality ratio. Compatible with most existing processing techniques. It is the plastic with the lowest specific weight (0.9 g/cm3). Water-resistant. Good organoleptic properties. Easy to colour. High resistance to fracture by bending or fatigue. Good superior impact resistance at temperatures above 15 ° C. Good thermal stability. Easy to mould.
It can be supplied in special ESCR (Environmental Stress Crack Resistance) quality for use inside refrigerators.
